ARK ix

Praise the Arkix! On a distant world there is a race of sandstone people, created fully grown, who never heal and only die when they are reduced to dust, something water does very quickly. These people worship the Arkix, a glowing rod in the sky for as long as they can remember. To see it is to be blessed and feel the touch of the divine. They sought space travel early so as to be closer to this symbol. Though some discovered the truth about it's origin, the faith has not faltered. It has been spread to other worlds. Perhaps a god once worshipped the Arkix and fell or perhaps faith created them but today there are Shards that grant abilities based on the Arkix and they are not confined to the world of the Arkix. They have spread across the realms encouraging others to hear it's call.
